Easy Tee V. 3

I am back again folks! I warned you in my last post to be on the look out! So today I am sharing my THIRD Easy Tee top from 5oo4 patterns. Just a recap of V. 1 & V. 2.

You can go back to V. 1 with this link and you can go back to V. 2 with this link.

However, today we are talking about V.3.

Different options, different look, same amazing Stitchin’ Pretties Fabrics!

5oo4 Easy Tee 5x 6

I think this one will be well worn all year long!! I wore it yesterday to work and received many compliments. I honestly feel like I can’t say enough about this pattern or this fabric!

5oo4 Easy Tee 5x 4

First off this fabric brings me so much happiness; it is kinda embarrassing to keep telling you about it. I am officially declaring myself a double brushed poly junkie. I am sure there is a support group somewhere. As spring was passing, I saw so many people in my sewing groups talking about it being too hot to wear in the summer. I wear it nearly every. single. day. It is hot in Ohio, but I haven’t melted yet. Trust me, I hate the heat of summer, so I would tell you is I was dying. This print, Jessie, is all things I am obsessed with.

Floral print. Check!

Red accents. Check!

Black with white polka dots. Check!

Red Poppy Floral Print! CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!

You can order your very own Jessie fabric from Stitchin’ Pretties.  Trust me you will love it as much as I do!

OK back to the pattern. This is part three of my “How to get the most bang for your buck from the 5oo4 Easy Tee Pattern.” LOL Just kidding, well actually I am not. This is in fact my third top from this pattern and it is different from the others.

This time I choose the curved hem. I was really torn between just the straight hemmed tunic length and the curved. Mainly the curved won because it is a little extra girlie touch! I used the scoop neck option for this top. I made sleeved this time and added about 2 inches to the short sleeve pattern that was included.

I did this for two reasons.

1. I have a black vest I want to wear this winter over this shirt.

2. I have a red vest I want to wear over this top this winter.

Here is a list of all the options that are included in this ONE pattern!

Options include:

  • Shirt, Tunic, Short dress, and Knee Length Dress options
  • Hemmed or Band options for the shirt and tunic
  • Curved hem option that is in between the shirt and tunic lengths
  • Pockets for the dress options
  • Maternity pattern piece
  • Optional waist tie and breast pocket
  • Crew neck, scoop neck, or v-neck
  • Hoods for both the crew and the scoop neck versions
  • Cuffs for all sleeve lengths (sleeveless, short, 3/4, long, and extra long), including thumbhole cuffs if you want them!

As you can see by the list, my Easy Tee series is far from completed! If I have inspired you, hope over to 5oo4 patterns and pick this one up for yourself!

Easy Tee #deux

So remember a few weeks ago when I used the Easy Tee pattern  from 5oo4 and the gorgeous Beth print from Stitchin’ Pretties, to make my amazing 4th of July party top?

Yes, you do! Here let me show you…

5oo4 4X Easy Tee 11
I also LOVE popsicles!

Told ya sew…

Here is the link to Easy Tee #One

I used that same pattern to make a totally different top!

You know how that happens? Easy! It is because the Easy Tee is loaded with options! 5oo4 stuffed this pattern with all sorts of good things and today I am sharing my second version of this top with you…

5oo4 4x Easy Tee 31

Looks like a completely different top doesn’t it? Ok, here is the run down…

So this time I used a selection of different options. I choose to use 3/4 length sleeves and added the bands instead of hemming them. I banded the tunic length top as well. I even used the over-sized slouchy hood option to prepare for the upcoming fall season!!

This shade of lilac is perfect for fall. Not too pastel, not too dark, jusssst right!

This fabric is from Stitchin’ Pretties and it is called Callie. It is an amazing double brushed poly. I also know you are all shocked by that fact! I honestly can’t help it! It is the softest fabric ever! I bet you are also shocked there are very few flowers in the print! Purple paisley is pretty close on the girlie meter though, right?!

24/7 I am living in this top

EAM 24-7 Top 4x-5x 13

It is super pretty right? I am loving this one and living in it 24/7 because it is the 24/7 top!! So this is an awesome top to make with either yardage or small leftovers. The top is designed for knits and the bottom is even more versatile because you can use knits or wovens. That’s pretty fantastic to me!

EAM 24-7 Top 4x-5x 2

I have already made two tops and I think I will need a few more. I have a stash of small cuts that this top will be perfect for! The only adjustment I made was adding about 2 inches to the Dolman sleeve to fit my bicep.

This top features:

Dolman style bodice

Short sleeve

Hi Lo hem

Center back pleat

Color blocked style

The sizes range from XXS-5X. For reference I made the 4x graded to a 5x.

So this pattern is on sale until Sunday the 22nd. The sale price is only $3.85!! Also while you are shopping, take a look at all the patterns which are already marked 25% off. Use code HOT15 to save an extra 15% off. 🙂 You are welcome!

Here is the link to the 24/7 top!!  Click and save some cash!

My thoughts: This one sewed up very quickly. I printed, taped, cut, and assembled in about 2 hours! I used my serger for the seams and didn’t finish the bottom edge of the top. It is knits and I didn’t want to mess up the curvy. with a woven, you will need to finish it. This is super easy for all skill levels! You can do it!

Sophia

The Sophia is finally here girls! A racerback tank top just in time for the summer heat! This is another fantastic top from Bella Sunshine Designs.

BSD Sophia 24-28 1

This tank is a super fast sew even for a beginner. It comes with length options of top, tunic, and dress. The dress even has pockets!!I made the tunic length. As usual this comes in child sizes up to Women’s size 30. Don’t forget BSD includes an optional full bust adjustment.

BSD Sophia 24-28 3

Easy Tee

Happy Sunday!

Here I am again with amazing fabric, my new favorite tank top, and a Hot Air Balloon ride?!?!

5oo4 4X Easy Tee 11

My second sew from my first order from Stitchin’ Pretties is this very patriotic FLORAL print. Red, White, and Blue Floral. Can you even believe it? I know you will love it as much as I do. It is called Beth. It is the super soft double brushed poly that I love. You can get your own here. You will love it trust me.

I think this is perfect for wearing at July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Tuesdays and again on Fridays. I kinda love it! It also matches my capris perfectly!

I had originally planned a peplum tank top, but then the Easy Tee by 5 out of 4 patterns went on sale. I was sure I would make a Tee Dress, but then I saw the tank top. If you can’t tell by these pics, I am rocking a pretty intense sunburn and basically wanted nothing to touch my skin so tank tops to the rescue!

I love the wide straps on this one. If covers my bra strap with no chance of it showing. I hate bra straps showing in public! Honestly, I hate it! I chose the length with the curved hem. I also selected the scoop neck option. One of my favorite things about 5oo4 patterns is they  are always loaded with options.

Here is the options list for this pattern:

  • Shirt, Tunic, Short dress, and Knee Length Dress options
  • Hemmed or Band options for the shirt and tunic
  • Curved hem option that is in between the shirt and tunic lengths
  • Pockets for the dress options
  • Maternity pattern piece
  • Optional waist tie and breast pocket
  • Crew neck, scoop neck, or v-neck
  • Hoods for both the crew and the scoop neck versions
  • Cuffs for all sleeve lengths (sleeveless, short, 3/4, long, and extra long), including thumb hole cuffs if you want them!

And then this happened…

Hot Air Balloon Ride 1
Up, Up, and Away!

This was almost as amazing as the fireworks display that followed!!
