Another Jessie for Momma Mia

I feel like this is about the 7th or 8th time I have sewn up a version of the Jessie Dress from 5 out of 4. Here is another one for Momma Mia…it is her favorite pattern after all. Anytime I ask her what she wants, she says, “Another Jessie.” Big shock here when she wanted a fall version of her beloved Jessie. The joke is on her though because fall has skipped Ohio and the giant pile of leaves in my front yard is buried with about 4 inches of snow.

This is the long A line skirt option of Jessie with 3/4 sleeves. This time I used the included racer back inset with this dress though. I typically don’t even give her the option of picking this because I don’t like binding fiddly little pieces and this fiddly little piece would require an extra 4 pieces of binding. I sewed a XL with the included FBA graded to a XXL and back to an XL for this dress. I used the high front with the low back options for the neckline. This time I decided to use a solid color for the bands. I rarely do this, but always love when Laura from Kitty Makes It does it.

So what you can’t see from these photos is that I actually drug Momma Mia out into the snow and cold. I took these photos after a weird snowstorm had just popped up. There was beautiful snow everywhere. Every single photo was rubbish. I am still learning my new camera and had somehow set the focus to the background instead of the front. Momma Mia was a frozen blurry blob! Not good for showing just how awesome this dress actually is.  Sorry for making you suffer for nothing, Momma Mia! These pictures are a bit better!
