World’s Longest Sew Along!
Holy Cow, Gang! I have been sick. Day after day in bed, A few doctor visits, a couple medications, an allergic reaction to said medication, Ugg The cycle is never ending! Before this post was even posted I was blind sided by an awesome migraine in the middle of grocery shopping.
Anyhow, enough whining and back to our regularly scheduled sewing!
Video number 3. Let’s learn how to shorten a zipper, create and install the zipper placket and race towards a finish!
I did figure out how to merge the two videos into one video and after doing so, the program wanted to charge me 50 bucks… ummm not today buddy!
Let’s bind those raw edges for a finish!

Welcome Back!
Today is the second day of sewing along with me. I will show you how to quilt your outer panels for your bag and attach the side panels. I also assembled the bag lining and cut bias binding for the finished top edge. Here is the video of today’s progress.

Sew Along Day 1
Strip piece the outside squares for your bag. You can choose to follow along with how I am strip piecing my denim scraps, go for solid pieces, or make up your own rules! I love when a pattern is this versatile. Your bag will be one of a kind and I can’t wait to see it!

Does it get chilly where you live? Is it already chilly? It is cold here! Two nights ago, we had real deal, scrape your windshield, frost! I am not mentally ready for winter, but the latest release from DIBY.club is getting me physically ready! The Hooded Infinity Scarf is up for grabs- AND IT IS FREE! Yes, you read that right. FREE!!
It is designed to be made with woven fabrics and it is double layered. I love that because it becomes reversible with all of the seams hidden! The hood is assembled with three panels so it fits nicely around your head to keep you snug and warm!
I used a warm fleece as my purple plaid layer and a regular weight quilting cotton for the liner. When it gets even colder here, I can reverse it and have the warm layer against my skin!
This hood comes together pretty quickly and is very easy to assemble! I used my serger, but it bogged down a little sewing the thickest layers. The scarf tails were hand stitched, but I bet you could even do a wide zig-zag to put them together. You can make a few in an assembly line in an evening…Hello, Christmas Gifts!
