5oo4 Annabeth Sweatshirt – one day sale

If you ask me what my most used 5oo4 sweatshirt pattern is, I will immediately tell you that it is the Annabeth. This raglan is hands down a fave. I love the way it fits and how quickly I can sew one together.Β TODAY ONLY this pattern is on sale for half price which is only $6.00. Click my afflink, grab the pattern no FOMO!

Let’s start with this fabulous penguin print French Terry version! This came from the Jessica Cee collection and I adored it immediately. I made myself one which I will share soon, but I will let you enjoy Momma Mia’s version first! Isn’t it the best?? Sew Cute!

I made this next outfit for her Birthday in November. Let’s start with the top. The Annabeth was an easy choice. Her pants are Diane joggers because we are both obsessed with how amazing the Diane’s are! I think I have made about 15 pair of them!

I used the navy-blue sweatshirt knit from my stash because it is so very comfy cozy. I was sorely tempted to use it for my own shirt because it was so amazing, but I try to share the good things in life. Actually that isn’t true. She bought this fabric so I could make her an outfit. πŸ™‚ She picked it out a few months ago, but I have been an uber slacker when it comes to sewing as all of my readers know. I have sewn the most basic version of this top for you so let me run down all the pattern options.

  • Raglan style sleeves
  • Solid or color-blocked options
  • Hidden front pocket or kangaroo pocket
  • Short or long sleeves that can be hemmed or finished with a band
  • Regular sweatshirt top length or tunic length with a lower hem in the back
  • Hem is finished with a band
  • Standard cuffs or a NEW thumbhole cuff option
  • Crewneck or cross over hood
  • Regular bodice or full bust adjustment (FBA) bodice
  • Sizes XXS – 5X (see the last image for yardage and size chart)

Like I said at the top of the post, this pattern will only be half price today so don’t miss out. Annabeth is one pattern you will never regret making!

Another Annabeth

Holy Moly Readers, I have been SICK! Like lock me up and throw away the key sick. Yesterday, Christmas, was the first day I really got to hang out with Momma Mia in about 5 weeks. Yep, I was quarantined since before Thanksgiving. I honestly didn’t do a lot of sewing in that time because I was mostly in bed, but I had a few items ready for photos and did a mad rush on sewing the week before Christmas! So prepare yourself, I have some sharing to do! Here we go… This was a November Sew!

Surprise! I made myself another Annabeth. This really does make the perfect sweatshirt. I adored my original in animal print, but I can only wear it so many days in a row before people start to worry about me. I didn’t shorten this shirt like I did the first Annabeth. I should have removed about 3 inches according to my height. With its longer length, AnnabethΒ becomes the perfect sweatshirt dress.Β I have worn this one already several times. I *may* be wearing it as I type this. It is perfect for wearing over leggings or skinny jeans. I have worn it at the office, out geocaching and at my sewing table. By now you guys know I love comfy clothing. There really isn’t much better in life then being comfortable. Except brownies…brownies *might* be better!

I used this hot pink and black printed Cotton Lycra from Stitchin’ Pretties. This print is called Riva! I really like geometric prints and these funky little triangles are only made more awesome by the fact they are flipped on their sides and run sorta vertically and staggered. It wears nicely, washes and dries fine, and even pulled from a laundry basket, it is ready to wear. πŸ™‚ I am on the promo team for Stitchin’ Pretties, but I am also a customer! I actually was invited to the promo team because I was a customer first. I order a large percentage of my fabrics from SP. I adore the shop owner, Laura. She is super friendly and helpful. She ships orders within 1-2 business days. (Typically one.) I suggest you give them a try. I bet you will love them as well. This piece of fabric was my monthly promo for November, but as soon as I sewed this piece up, I ordered more of it! Why the heck not?! It is a fun color and a great geometric print! I plan to sew up a summer tank and a few pair of my favorite undies from it also! Riva is currently on sale for $5.99 a yard and worth every single penny.

Annabeth Sweatshirt

Do you love cuddly clothing when it starts to get cold outside? Sweatshirts, Hoodies, and all that jazz? Me too! 5oo4 has an answer to that issue for you! This is the AnnaBeth Sweatshirt! I am working on cutting out my second one because I need this in a hoodie version ASAP! First off, I love a Raglan style top! I typically colorblock the sleeves for an added pop of fun, but this fabric was all I needed to make it amazing. Speaking of colorblocking, this shirt can be colorblocked! You can do the side panels as a accent or the sleeves or both! There are no rules when you are sewing for yourself.

In addition to the colorblocking options, you can add a kangaroo pocket to the front or hidden pockets if you choose to color block the side panels. 5oo4 is never shy when giving us options. Here is the entire list.

This shirt sewed up quickly and easily. I removed about 3 inches of length from the body of the shirt and 2 from the sleeves. After I made my shirt, the cuffs were sized slightly smaller to give a better fit. However, in my photos, you will notice my cuffs are folded in half compared to the original pattern. I always do this. I actually think it is a habit more than anything. I didn’t do a bicep adjustment as these sleeves are wide enough for me. If I planned to wear the hoodie over a bulkier shirt, I would add some room to the sleeve.

Fabric time!! OOMMMGGGG Brushed Hacci Sweater knit is everything that makes me happy. Animal print always makes me very happy. Them together and I am sooooo in love! I picked this fabric up online from Ksews. You can find her online at a group called The Material Girls. She shops the fabric markets and resells to people who aren’t near the markets. This fabric has a slight flaw which was a run near the salvage. It is still usable, but it is expected when shopping these groups. They typically will point out flaws. I am happy that I have enough of this fabric left to make either a scarf or try making a beanie hat!
